Lakeland Home Destroyed

January 17 - Biwabik Township fire officials say it was a wood stove that caused a fire that destroyed a Lakeland home, south of Biwabik.  The fire was reported around 8:30 p.m. at 5017 Highway 4.  Firefighters from Biwabik Township, City of Biwabik, Lakeland, Palo and Aurora fought the blaze.  One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation and exhaustion.
