Arrowhead departments receive AFG grants

Ten fire departments in northeastern Minnesota are receiving funding through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program.  The departments include:

Carlton  $70,797-Operations and Safety

Lakeland  $98,800-Operations and Safety

Lakewood $8,645-Operations and Safety

Hoyt Lakes $82,779-Operations and Safety

Normanna  $187,701-Vehicle Acquisition

So far this year, the Department of Homeland Security has presented 89 grant awards to Minnesota fire departments, totaling over $7.1 million.
