April 20 – A mid morning fire destroyed Tardy’s Food and Fuel in Angora.  The blaze was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. and was fought by firefighters from the Cook, Evergreen, Orr and Bearville fire departments.  The Cook Ambulance also stood by at the scene.  The building was considered a complete loss.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department.  Photos by Don Simonson of Cook.
