Country Supper Club Near Cook Destroyed
The Country Supper Club, located near Cook, was destroyed by fire on September 7th. The evening blaze started out as a grease fire in the kitchen and quickly spread to the rest of the building. There were 50 customers in the supper club at the time, including Cook Fire Chief Arne "Pete" Johnson. Everyone was able to get out safely, but the building was a total loss. Seven fire departments from throughout the immediate area helped to battle the fire. Read more about this fire in the November edition of The Northland Fire Wire.
