Former Alborn Business Gutted

February 9, 2002 – An early morning fire gutted the former Dooley’s Market building on St. Louis County Highway 7 in Alborn.  Arriving firefighters found the building already engulfed in flames.  The business had been closed for a year. Alborn firefighters were called back to the scene several times because the fire had rekindled.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
